Welcome to Easthampstead Golf Club

Easthampstead Golf Club is a friendly, sociable club consisting of two independent golf clubs, a Men’s and a Ladies’ Club, both based at the well regarded Downshire Golf Complex, near Bracknell in Berkshire. The Complex is owned and run by Bracknell Forest Council and features an 18 hole championship golf course, a driving range and a pitch-and-putt course alongside its clubhouse facility and well stocked golf shop.

Our aim is to provide an affordable opportunity for our members to enjoy regular competitive and friendly golf, as well as a calendar of varied and enjoyable social events. Competitions run throughout the year, with regular weekend competitions (some Saturday, some Sunday), as well as regular mid-week competitions and friendly games. Members will also have the opportunity to play in external competitions (both clubs are members of the NAPGC).

New members of all ages are always welcome, whether they are experienced golfers or people new to the game. The Club offers subsidised Golf coaching with the PGA Pro's at the Complex for those loking to improve their game. There is currently no joining fee for the Men’s Club (new members only having to pay the annual membership fee of £80), while Ladies pay a joining fee £35 plus an annual subscription of only £50. In addition the Men’s club has a thriving junior section which provides under-18 boys and girls with the opportunity to learn the game and play in junior competitions. The Complex operates on a pay-and-play basis, so green fees have to be paid before play, but that does mean that you only have to pay for the golf that you actually play (the Complex also offers season ticket options which can be beneficial if you play regularly).

JHB Trophy Competition - ELGC Victorious

JHB Trophy Competition - ELGC Victorious
After a very early start and a long drive the 2 Easthampstead teams arrived at The Shropshire golf centre. With nerves jangling we all managed to tee off on the first and get on with the job at hand. None of us had ever played the course! It felt like an endurance event. We gritted it out and came away with: a couple of birdies, an equalled best nett (well done Alex), 4th in the nett competition (well done Edmee, Mo and Mandy) AND 1st in the GROSS (well done Alex, Millie and Barbs).. The trophy is coming home!

Bourne-Vanneck Success Story

The regional final of the NAPGC Bourne-Vanneck Shield took place last weekend at Sherfield Oaks, and we had three teams taking part. All the teams did well but the team comprising Jack Davies, Jamie Sheehan and Kirrill Bates starred and took the top prize, having both the best gross and the best net scores. The team comprising Ian Goodall, Jimmy Lennon and Michael Hunt ran them close and finished in 3rd place in both categories. Special mention goes to Kirrill for his fantastic gross score of 72 (net 67) which was by far the best individual score of the day. Well done everybody!
