We use the Downshire Golf Course in Bracknell, Berkshire, which is owned by Bracknell Forest Council, managed by Everyone Active and operates on a pay-and-play basis. Green fees have to be paid before play but that does mean that you only have to pay for the golf that you actually play (the Downshire also offers season ticket options which can be beneficial if you play regularly). The Complex features an excellent 18 hole golf course, a driving range and a pitch-and-putt course, alongside its clubhouse facility and well stocked golf shop.

For an easy way of finding your Course Handicap, use the EGC Calculator or the calculator provided with the MyEG app. There are also published tables available that you can use just to look up your handicap – these tables are available for reference on the Club noticeboard at the Downshire.
