The re-scheduled Easter Shield took place today.
Unfortunately torrential rain just before most of us teed off made us wonder what the afternoon had in store. Group 1 were soaked as they teed off, but surprisingly that was the only rain we saw! We were fortunate!
The Downshire mud struck again, especially on the back 9.
However – the 14th hole was Vickie Motley’s favourite. After 29 years she had her FIRST HOLE IN ONE!! Well done Vics- play like that tomorrow please! Thanks for the drink in the clubhouse.
Scoring for this comp reflected the muddy conditions – Vickie’s 1 for 4 was enough to propel her and Yani into 2nd place with 39 points.
