If you are aged 55 and over and would like to play in the Seniors friendly matches that we have organised for this summer, please see below. (If your 55th birthday is this year then you’re eligible to play in any matches after your birthday – please contact me direct if that is the case)).
We have 14 matches against other clubs, 7 home and 7 away, from May to September. The dates are below. The format of the matches is 4BBB matchplay (i.e. best net score wins each hole), 6 pairs in each team.
You can sign up on the Master Scoreboard system, just as you would for any competition. Sign up for all the matches is now open, and will close about 2 weeks before each match. I’d like to invite you to sign up for up to 6 of these matches – ideally 3 at home and no more than 3 away. In recent years the away matches have been more popular that the home games – so don’t only choose away games or you may not be selected !

Home matches include a full English breakfast before play and sandwiches and chips afterwards and the first tee is 10am. Away matches will have a similar format (depending on their menus, etc). Home matches will cost £17 for Complex Season Ticket holders (or Play More Golf members if you use your points) and £35 for non Season Ticket holders. Away matches will cost £17. As you will be representing the club we expect every player to wear the white seniors shirt and red seniors jumper or alternatively the navy blue club jumper (if needed) – these are available to buy on the club website.
